Head Coach Bryan Hill

Head Coach / Manager: Bryan Hill - Chowan University

Hill returns to Edenton for a second season after a wildy successful rookie campaign in 2013. Hill guided the Steamers to a league best 40-11 record in 2013, good enough to win the first and second halves of the Eastern division and the no.1 seed in the Petit Cup playoffs. Hill was awarded the 2013 CPL Manager of the Year award for his efforts; the fourth manager in Edenton History to do so. 

Hill finished his third season as Chowan University’s top assistant baseball coach in 2013. After graduating from Chowan in May of 2009, Hill worked locally as a personal trainer for one season before becoming a volunteer for the Hawks’ as their strength and conditioning coach and helping with day-to-day field coaching for the 2010 season. In 2011, Hill was hired on as an assistant coach at Jackson State Community College where he served in the same role as strength and conditioning coach for the athletic department and as the baseball teams pitching coach. Hill also brings Coastal Plain League knowledge and experience with him to Edenton this summer. In 2007 he suited up for the New Bern River Rats and in 2012, was tapped to serve as the pitching coach for the Wilson Tobs before being promoted to head coach at midseason.

Along with three years of coaching at Chowan University, Hill spent four years (2005-2009) as a starting pitcher and outfielder for the Hawks’ and still holds the career record for innings pitched, logging 267.1 on the mound and in 2006 he was named to the All NCCAA South Region Team as a pitcher.


Assistant Coach: David "Vegas" Noble - Perquimans High School 

Noble joins Hill's coaching staff after 20 years of experience in baseball from playing, to coaching, umpiring and even as a head grounds crewman. Noble started as a pitcher, bouncing around different junior colleges like West Valley Community College and San Jose Community College before finishing his career at NAIA Missouri Valley College. Has coached at numerous stops at Reed HS in Sparks, NV, Edenton HS, Elizebeth City State University and to his current position at Perquimans HS.

Assistant Coach Brett Garrett

Assistant Coach: Brett Garrett - Chowan University

Garrett returns to Hill's coaching staff from Chowan University where he just finished up his second year as an assisant coach along with Hill under head coach Taylor Furlough. Garrett played two season at Louisburg Community College (2009-2010) before transferring to Chowan University and playing two seasons for the Hawks' (2011-2012).
