Tyler returned for the 2013 season as the Director of Game Day Operations. He then went on to graduate from NC State University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Sport Management, and a minor in Business Administration. While at NC State, Tyler worked for University Recreation and specialized in Facility Operations and Competitive Sports. After completing his degree, Tyler returned to the Steamers to serve as the Assistant General Manager for the 2014 season. Following that summer, he was appointed to the General Manager position. The 2015 season was an exciting first year at the helm for Tyler, which culminated in the Steamers bringing home their third Petitt Cup Championship in franchise history.

Connor McCoach, Director of Marketing and Promotions

Connor McCoach is a college student who recently finished his 3rd year of college at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. At Liberty University, Connor recently gained experience working as a Marketing and Promotions Assistant for the Men’s Division 1 Hockey team during the school year. Connor is working on completing his degree in Sport Management and is super excited to be furthering his experience working in sports with the Edenton Steamers this summer. After graduating from college in December of 2017, Connor would love to land a job in North Carolina working in the field of sports, prefferably baseball or hockey.

Connor was born and raised an hour north of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he grew up playing all kinds of sports, but focused on golf and baseball in high school. To this day baseball remains Connor’s favorite sport and he has a true connection and love for the game. However, being from Philadelphia comes with a cost, as Connor is a die hard fan of all Philly sports even though they no teams have seen success in many years.

Elijah Gonzalez, Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations

Elijah is spending his first season with the Steamers. He is a graduate of Otterbein University (OH) with a degree in Journalism and Media Communication and a minor in Sports Communication. While at Otterbein, Elijah was the play-by-play announcer for over 150 varsity sporting events, hosted sports radio talk shows for WOBN 97.5FM, Otterbein student radio, and was the sports anchor for the weekly newscast on Otterbein TV.  Behind the scenes Elijah directed and produced TV and radio broadcasts, and held positions as the Sports Director for WOBN and Otterbein TV.

Outside of Otterbein, in 2016 Elijah was a play-by-play announcer for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox in the Cape Cod Baseball League. Last fall he was a reporter for Cleveland.com covering high school football, and was the voice of Dublin Scioto High School football on the Central Ohio Sports Network. Elijah also had previous experience as an intern at 540AM ESPN Milwaukee and as a play-by-play announcer for WHIZ-TV, the NBC Affiliate in Zanesville, Ohio.

Danielle Griffith, Director of  Group Sales

Danielle is starting her first season with the Edenton Steamers as Director of Group Sales. She is currently attending American Public University for a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management and is prepared to graduate this fall.  Before her time at American Public University, Danielle attended the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. Danielle spent the past 4 years working in law enforcement before deciding to build a career in the sports industry. She is excited to start this new career by having the privilege of working alongside of the Edenton Steamers.

While in high school, Danielle spent 3 summers working for the Wilson Tobs where she gained plenty of experience by working in various areas of the ballpark. Danielle was also a varsity athlete on her high school’s swim team, where she qualified for the State Championships in multiple events during her last 3 years. She now spends her free time participating in triathlons.

Courtney McNeill, Director of  Baseball Operations

Courtney is in her first season with the Steamers as the Director of Baseball Operations.  She attends Southern Wesleyan University where she works on the event management staff for the baseball team and plays on Women’s soccer team.  Courtney also works with the Furman University game operations and athletic facilities department and had the opportunity to assist with the First and Second Round of the NCAA March Madness tournament.

Following the season, Courtney will return to SWU for her senior year.  She will graduate in May with a bachelor’s degree in Recreation & Sport Management and a minor in Business Administration.
