The Edenton Steamers have solidified their middle infield with their newest 2019 roster additions.
Miller, a 6'0 215-pound senior, is someone head coach Russ Burroughs expects to lengthen his lineup.
"Richard is always going to approach his at-bats with a smart game plan. He is someone we will rely on to bring leadership to our team. He has had success in a number of different places, so we look forward to him carrying that over into the summer."
Last summer with the Springfield Sliders, Miller took home the Prospect League Mike Schmidt Player of the Year.
Stemming from Clarence, New York, he led the league with a .373 batting average, 17 home runs, 41 extra-base hits and an .811 slugging percentage.
Morrisette, a 6'0 175-pound freshman is batting .313 with 24 RBI this season with the Eagles.
"Cody is someone that was expected to deliver as a freshman in the ACC and he has done just that. We have a good relationship with Boston College and we trust their input when it comes to the players they send our way. I expect him to be an everyday middle infielder for us," said Burroughs.
Walters, a 5'11 195-pound junior, was featured on Sports Center Top 10 plays with a diving play in the infield.
"Ian has a great defensive presence and with him playing alongside Cody I expect to have one of the best middle infields in the CPL. He can handle the bat and as an upperclassman he'll provide leadership for our younger guys," said Burroughs.
The Paducah, KY native, hit over .322 in two seasons at Rend Lake. Last year his seven triples ranked 17th in NJCAA Division I. He also posted 11 home runs and 44 RBI.
