Edenton split a doubleheader with the Martinsville Mustangs on Friday evening at Historic Hicks Field.
With the loss in game two and Wilson's victory against Wilmington, the Tobs capture the First-Half Northern Division title.
The first half of the twin bill resumed in the bottom of the 1st with the Steamers leading 3-0.
In game one, Edenton turned to Tyler Hopman who delivered 7.2 spectacular innings. The Kean University product earned his third win, allowing just one earned run while scattering eight hits.
Justin Drpich lined his first homerun of the season down the right field line, extending Edenton's lead, 4-0.
Grant Crosby closed the door in the top of the 9th, coming in for the final out.
Martinsville took game two, 14-7.
The Mustangs drew 13 total walks in the seven-inning game. Alex Theis went one inning, allowing three earned runs and walking five.
Martinsville left the yard three times, including a grand slam off the bat of Dominic Cox.
The lone bright spot for the Clams was Quincy Hamilton blasting his seventh long ball of the season.
