The Edenton Steamers defeated the Peninsula Pilots 10-9 in ten innings Thursday night from Historic Hicks Field.
The victory marks the third walk-off win for the Clams in 2019, improving their record to 2-1 in extra innings.
Edenton was able to overcome multiple deficits and an hour rain delay to knock down the Pilots.
After three innings, Peninsula was up a 7-2. Edenton got within two runs, but Cole Secrest responded with a two-run home run, extending the Pilots' lead, 9-5.
In the bottom of the seventh, the first four Steamers reached against Jacob Pilarski.
Ian Walters rolled an RBI fielder's choice to second base, tying the game at 9.
The rain began to fall and play was paused for an hour. At 11:30pm, play resumed in the top of the 8th.
John Dowless tossed a scoreless eighth inning in relief. The left-hander has not allowed a run in ten of his tweleve appearances this season.
Nick Torres earned the win behind his two scoreless innings, including stranding a lead-off base runner in the ninth and working around two base runners due to the international tie-breaker rule in the tenth.
With the victory, Edenton improves to 3-2 in the second half and 16-15 overall. Clams hold a 7-3 season series lead over the Pilots.
Up next, the Steamers travel to War Memorial Stadium to take on the Pilots who have a 13-3 record at home this season.
