The Edenton Steamers were run-ruled for the first time in the 2019 season as they fell 12-0 against the Peninsula Pilots at War Memorial Stadium.
The loss snaps a three-game win streak for Edenton.
The Clams were held to four hits in seven innings. This marks the second time this season that the Steamers have been shutout, with both shutouts coming against the Pilots.
It was a tough night on the field for Edenton who committed a season-high six errors.
Blake Beers made his second start for the Teal and Black. The Michigan product went four innings, allowing five earned runs and striking out two.
On the year, Edenton holds an 8-4 record against Peninsula.
Colin Adams picked up his eighth multi-hit game of the season.
Edenton returns home to host the Morehead City Marlins on Tuesday. On the year, the Clams are 1-5 against the Fish.
