Tyler Russell, General Manager

Tyler has been the Steamers General Manager since the 2015 season. He started out with the team during the 2012 season as a part time game day operations volunteer. Tyler returned for the 2013 season as the Director of Game Day Operations. He then went on to graduate from NC State University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Sport Management, and a minor in Business Administration. While at NC State, Tyler worked for University Recreation and specialized in Facility Operations and Competitive Sports. After completing his degree, Tyler returned to the Steamers to serve as the Assistant General Manager for the 2014 season. Following that summer, he was appointed to the General Manager position. The 2015 season was an exciting first year at the helm for Tyler, which culminated in the Steamers bringing home their third Petitt Cup Championship in franchise history. Tyler is orignally from Sunbury, NC and he currently resides in Edenton with his wife Hillary.



DyQuan Freeman, Director of Game Day Operations

DyQuan resides in Gates County, NC, and is returning to the Steamers after spending last summer as the Operations Assistant. He is currently seeking a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management at the University of Mount Olive with an anticipated graduation date in May 2021. He is currently serving as the Head Student Manager for the University of Mount Olive Men’s Basketball team, which he has had the honor and privilege to do for the past 2 years. After graduation, DyQuan plans to seek a Master’s Degree in Sports Administration and a career as a Director of Basketball Operations in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Outside of college studies and athletics, he is involved in a few extracurricular activities at UMO and in his hometown.


Victoria Conway, Director of Broadcasting & Media Relations

Victoria is from Miami, FL and is currently attending Hofstra University. She has loved the game ever since she was a little kid. She lived in Puerto Rico for a few years, where they did not offer softball, so she turned to baseball. She played for 6 years before returning to the states. Victoria is majoring in journalism and expects to receive her degree in May of 2019. She has interned at Westwood One sports as well as SiriusXM. During her time at Hofstra she has done play-by-play for several Hofstra sports: volleyball, basketball, lacrosse, baseball and softball. She also served as the lead play-by-play announcer for Hofstra Softball's CAA Championship run in 2018. Victoria hopes to someday be a Play-by-Play Broadcaster for a professional baseball team.


Jamie Wilson, Director of Marketing & Promotions

Jamie is originally from Helena, MT where she attended Capital High School. This is where she found her love for sports marketing through her four years of involvement in DECA and sports marketing trips. She is currently finishing her sophomore year at Montana Tech where she is majoring in Marketing. In the fall, she is planning to transfer to Montana State University to major in Marketing and Financial Engineering. Jamie spent last summer working for the Florida Summer Collegiate League where she was awarded the Intern of the Year Award. She hopes to continue her career in Sports Marketing as well as attend law school. In the future, Jamie also plans on starting a nonprofit that focuses on community integration through sports. 


Jared Taylor, Director of Group Sales

Jared is currently working on completing his Bachelor's of Science degree in Agricultural Business Management with a minor in Economics at NC State University. He expects to graduate in December 2019. He has previously worked at Tidewater Agronomics, Inc., where he first gained experience working with customers. Jared has recently expanded his experience to the sports field by officiating intramural sports through NC State's Wellness and Recreation department. He frequently played baseball while growing up and played four years of varsity baseball at near by Pasquotank County High School. He is looking forward to working with the Steamers this summer and being reconnected to the game. Jared's future career aspirations are to work in business, with hopes to stay connected to the sports field.
