Tyler Russell, General Manager

Tyler has been the Steamers General Manager since the 2015 season. He started out with the team during the 2012 season as a part time game day operations volunteer. Tyler returned for the 2013 season as the Director of Game Day Operations. He then went on to graduate from NC State University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Sport Management, and a minor in Business Administration. While at NC State, Tyler worked for University Recreation and specialized in Facility Operations and Competitive Sports. After completing his degree, Tyler returned to the Steamers to serve as the Assistant General Manager for the 2014 season. Following that summer, he was appointed to the General Manager position. The 2015 season was an exciting first year at the helm for Tyler, which culminated in the Steamers bringing home their third Petitt Cup Championship in franchise history.



Linzy Haueter, Director of Group Sales

Linzy is a college student from Salem, Ohio. She recently received a business degree from Liberty University. Linzy has enjoyed playing and watching sports her entire life. She participated in multiple varsity sports during high school including soccer and track and field, where she was the first female pole vaulter for her school. Linzy has spent many years watching her brother and friends play baseball as well as attending Cleveland Indians games, but is excited to work with the Steamers this summer.

After the season, Linzy will continue pursuing her bachelor’s degree at Ohio University, where she will major in business management and minor in sports administration. Then, she hopes to work in the sports industry, preferably for basketball or baseball.


PJ Potter, Director of Broadcasting & Media Relations

PJ is a 2018 graduate of Hofstra University with a bachelor's degree in journalism. Growing up playing baseball in Lodi, New Jersey, PJ reached the Division I level at Hofstra as a walk-on. Following that, he joined the media side of the game and became the sports editor for The Hofstra Chronicle, the school's weekly newspaper. PJ also worked his way up as one of the lead play-by-play broadcasters for WRHU calling Hofstra baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's soccer and Long Island Ducks baseball.

Last summer, he was the play-by-play man for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox of the Cape Cod Baseball League. His goals include one day reaching the MLB as the voice for any of the teams.


Bobby Masters, Director of Marketing & Promotions

Bobby is a college student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from Wilmington, NC. In high school, he played soccer, baseball and ran track. He volunteers with RocSolid Foundation and is on the UNC Habitat for Humanity Fundraising Committee. Bobby’s passion for baseball has grown while at college as he has enjoyed cheering on the Tarheels Baseball team and is looking forward to being a part of the Steamers organization this summer.

At the end of the season, Bobby will go back to UNC to work on his degree in sports administration and would like to work with a sports organization after graduating in Spring of 2020.


Jake Kegley, Director of Game Day Operations

Jake is currently a student at North Carolina State University, who will be graduating in December 2018. In his free time, Jake loves to travel across the US and visit sports arenas, fields, and stadiums.  Jake was born and raised in Fredericksburg, Virginia, which is about an hour south of Washington, D.C., so he enjoys cheering on all of the D.C. sports teams. Jake also loves to cheer on the NC State Wolfpack. Jake's experience working in baseball started in 2017 while working for USA Baseball at the National Training Complex in Cary, NC. His future goals include working in a managerial role for a professional baseball team.
